PAGES Matam (They/he) is a genderqueer med-school dropout turned award-winning film-poet. Fluent in five languages, they are a high-concept drama TV writer, burlesque performer and agent of imagination born and raised in Cameroon, Central Africa, then blossomed in Washington D.C. (Piscataway Land). PAGES is a multi-hyphenate with creative fellowships including Circle of Confusion, TRIBE at SuperSpecial by Amy Aniobi, ARTIST DISRUPTORS, and Callaloo at Brown University. Additionally, they're a National Poetry Slam Champion and published author as seen on Google x Guardian, The Kennedy Center, TEDx, Essence Fest, AFROPunk, The Apollo, and more. Working in L.A. as Lead Story Expert at The Professional Pen screenwriter development agency, PAGES loves battle-horror anime, Mario Kart, and fried plantains as much as developing magical realist character-driven projects exploring grief and finding one's purpose informed by a Black queer liberation lens and their immigrant experience. Goals: Short Term - staffed and sell projects; Long Term - showrun and be a Development Executive prioritizing Black, Queer & Immigrant stories. Currently, PAGES has two drama series in development and is completing their triptych transmedia project based on their life about an undocumented spoken word artist's fantastical triumphs and tribulations on their first book tour. PAGES is repped by Antonio D’Intino at Spectre Vision, and attorney Sloan Whiteside.
